According to the genius and majestic power of God the Christian believer and a wife are meant to be pictures, “types” if you will, of one another. That one, who is the “apple” of the Creator’s eye, IE the Church, (Or the individual Believer) has been purposed by God to have its earthly counterpart, its human representation. Yehovah, (The eternal name of God) the God of creation, created the woman as a living mortal picture of the One who is the great focus of His attention and affections. A person who begins to understand these realities can study the one entity and by it learn of the other, and visa-versa, each will teach of, or give expression of the other. If from the Scripture you study the Church, (Or the singular Believer) the understanding that is revealed to you concerning the Church can be transposed into the life of a wife. For again, she (The woman who grows to maturity and in most all cases becomes a wife) was created to be a living mortal representation of the Church and/or individual Believers which comprise the Church. (Gen. 1:26, 1 Co. 11:7-12, Eph. 5:32)
From the beginning a man was created to be vastly different from a woman. In fact, the first man was created in an entirely different manner than the first woman, and at the same time he was created to be a totally different being. (Gen. 2:7 & 7:21-22) Oh Yes, both are human persons, but that’s just about where the similarities end. For Yehovah created the man after His image in the very first person. He (The first man, whose name was Adam) was made by Yehovah’s power from the dust of the earth, and then God breathed into him the breath of life. The first woman (Whom Adam named Eve, and by the way Adam had the right to name her, for she came forth from him, and belonged to Him) was not made from the dust of the earth, but rather Yehovah caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and He performed the very first surgical procedure. He removed a rib from Adam and by His genius and power transformed that rib into a woman. (Now, that is real power. I can imagine that there are more than a few beauty shop owners who would like to have that ability to use on some of their clients) So you see the first man and the first woman were not created the same, and I testify to you that other than both being human persons, the children of Adam and Eve from the very beginning, right up to this present time have all been born either male or female. And, male and female are just as different today from each other as were the first man Adam, and the first woman, (Eve) whom God gave to him as a wife.
Yehovah created Adam has a living mortal representation of heavenly things. However, he was not created to represent the same thing (things) as his wife Eve, but a totally different entity. He was created as a living mortal representation of God Himself, of the Living Messiah. And I suggest to you that these sets of realities have by God’s purpose been passed unto every person that has proceeded from those two first human persons, even to the very newest male and female children on the earth today. Of course children have to grow up to be able to fully express the truths that their persons were created to express, but the seeds of those realities are present with them from conception.
So far we have stated that the male and female persons were created by Yehovah to be vastly different, the one from the other, and that those differences are to, according to each sex, picture different heavenly realities. Wow! They never taught me this in secular school, nor did I learn it in Church, I had to learn this from the Bible by revelation of the Holy Spirit, and it is from the Scripture, by the Holy Spirit’s revelation that you will learn these truths. (Ps. 119:18, Jn. 14:21, 1 Co. 2:10-16, Eph. 1:16-19) Ultimately I am not the teacher. I am only a witness of the truth. It is the Holy Spirit who will make these truths real and alive to you. (Jn. 14:16-17, Jn. 15:16, Jn. 16:7-14, 1Jn. 2:20 & 27) You may ask, “Alright, all this is well and good, but what does it mean to me?” How are these truths meant to affect my life? How are they meant to affect my relationship and service to God?
These Truths, If You Will Open Your Heart To Them Will Affect Your Life Very Much. They Will Transform Your Life.
The life of any Believer, whether male or female, that surrenders him/herself to God will be in numerous ways be transformed by these realities. (Ro. 12:1-3) However, let us focus on the elements of life that were suggested in the title of this article. For the title suggests that the tranquility and peace of victory is found only in surrender, and by the wisdom of all that is holy this will prove out to be true if it is allowed to be exercised. However, I am aware that this thought sounds completely backward to the person who is not spiritually minded, whether man or woman. So we ask, “How can victory be found in surrender? That doesn’t sound right. For if I surrender, I’ll never come out on top. I’ll be subject to what someone else wants, and I’ll never get my own way.” Yes, it would appear so. (Is. 55:6-11) That is why I seek to introduced you to deeper truths, so that you can go back right to the beginning and start to see that our Creator in His inestimable wisdom created us to act out our lives differently from the world around us, and in so doing, we will find victory and honor, and of course the ultimate of that will be experienced at the appearing of Yeshua. (1Tim. 1:17, Ja. 3:13-18, 1Pe. 1:8-9, 1Co. 13:9-13)
Therefore, the first One that every soul of man must learn to surrender to is God Himself. This can only happen in, and though the person of the Lord Yeshua, our Messiah. For Messiah alone is the door (Jo. 14:6) that by Yehovah’s design leads to peace with God, (Ro. 5:1) and the adoption (Ro. 8:14-17) of all who believe into God’s family as dear children. Therefore, when we believe we become heirs to every bounty that He possesses right along with Yeshua our Lord, (Ro. 8:17) who humbled Himself to become one of us when He took on human form. (Ph. 2:6-8) All of this is possible in that He drew us to Himself by the Holy Spirit, (Jn. 15:16, Jn. 6:44-45, Rev. 2:20) and granted us grace to respond to Him by faith, (Jn. 1:16-17, Eph. 1:6, 2:6-8) renouncing our sins, and applying faith to His promises we were regenerated. We were re-created, we were born again. Amen!
So, God is represented in the male person, who grows to manhood. The Church, or individual Believer, is represented in the female person, who grows to womanhood. And as the Church is the apple of the Lord’s eye, (1Pe. 2:9-10, Dt. 32:10, Ps. 17:8, Zech. 2:8, Ex. 19:4-6) His single-great all surpassing treasure, so is the woman to the man. (Her husband) Thus my friend is the magic of the attraction of the sexes. Now you know why women have been turning men’s heads since the beginning of time, and men have from the beginning desired to possess a woman, and face it. Men will go to very great lengths to possess a woman as wife. Also this teaches us why women have desired right from the beginning to be an attraction to the man, and to belong to him, and the heartbeat of his attention and affection. It was, and still is all Yehovah’s idea, and instrumentation. He did it, it’s His fault. But, if you are wise to plug into Him, and by His Spirit walk out the truths that we are expressing, then this reality can be an extreme joy and satisfaction for you, whether man or woman. But, if you are not willing to humbly obey, but are rebellious toward Him, then you will never find joy and satisfaction, but rather contention and endless confrontation, bitterness, rejection, and sorrow. (Is. 1:17-20)
So Again, Tell Me One More Time. How Does Surrender Lead To Victory?
When you surrender to God He will make you victorious. (Ro. 8:28-39) Because He loves you more than you can imagine, and in that love He has endless good things in mind for your life. And, I should add, He has unlimited power to perform those good things. However, again, it demands faith on your part that will lead you to surrender. For He cannot work His will and purpose in our lives when we are busy working our own will and purpose in our lives. And that’s the truth in simple terms. (He. 11:6)
Okay, So How Does It Work In Regards To A Wife Finding Victory In Surrender. That Sure Seems Backward To Any Modern Western Way Of Thinking
Yes, again, to the unspiritual mind what I am saying is entirely backward, for it is not the way of this world, and it certainly is not the way of the spirit of humanism-feminism that is so very prominent in this present culture. But to the mind that has chosen by faith to completely surrender itself to the dealings of the Holy Spirit it will make perfect sense, and it will work if that one will persevere.
So Let’s Capsulize All Of This
The man is a living mortal illustration of God Himself. The woman is a living mortal illustration of a Believer, or the corporate Church. So, as the Lord deals with the man, so the man is to deal with the woman, and as the Church responds and deals with the Lord, so the woman (wife) is to respond and deal with the man. (Her husband) So, as the Believer can only find victory in surrender to that One who is greater than himself, even so, it is true that the woman (wife) can only find the sweetness of victory by exercising her faith toward God, and in that faith surrendering to her husband who is her head. (Eph. 5:21-30) So husband, this means that in all things you are to treat a wife as Messiah treats His own. Wife, it means that in all things you are to reverence and obey your husband, even as a Believer is to reference and obey the Lord. Yes, it will take the exercise of your faith. Yes, you will have to abide fully in His word and be carried along by the Holy Spirit to do this. And it matters not which side of the relationship you are on, whether you are on the male side, or the female side, the operation of either side will take sincere faith to properly flesh out this truth. To follow the Lord in your perspective callings, and reap the benefits of that obedience in your life and marriage you will have to seek the Lord, and every day, and in every way live by faith renouncing the spirit of this age obeying Yehovah’s laws. (He. 11:6, Gal. 5:6, Ja. 2:17, 1 Jn. 5:4, 2 Chron. 20:20, Jn. 6:29, Eph. 6:16)
Beloved, if you will do what I have in these brief words instructed you to do, and particularly if you have a wise spouse who will himself/herself also do the truth, then you will increasingly find greater tranquility and joy in your life and marriage. Amen
