To The Godly Person Who Feels So Small-Secrets in God to Preserve the Faithful Christian Man and Woman

As a Christian attempting to live godly in a very wayward generation the author understands the tempting thoughts that can seek to gain preeminence in the souls of those who have chosen to love God. Temptations to believe that all may be lost in regards to our nation’s Christian heritage, or the promise of a future in our land where the fear of God is less and less practiced among our people, or to even be able to remain true to the calling of the Lord Yeshua. (Yeshua is the Hebrew personality that English speaking people call Jesus) Knowing this struggle, the author offers several paradoxes that if practiced will work to ensure that the faithful man or woman is kept by God’s power, and remains a true and lasting witness of the light in the darkness of this present generation.

To The Godly Person Who Feels So Small-Secrets in God to Preserve the Faithful Christian Man and Woman

Hey America:

Having been born in the 1950’s I am old enough to have witnessed with my own eyes many changes in our American society toward godlessness. For instance, I remember when the character of television was basically gentle and pure in nature. A time when actors did not utter curse words, or actors playing the part of a man and wife would not actually kiss but only feign to do so, as well as actors and actresses who playing the part of married people used individual beds instead of being seen in the same bed with a person who was not in reality their marriage partner. Yes, I know. These kinds of thoughts are consider childish and “puritanical”, and even like something out of the ignorance of the dark ages. Yet, history validates that in that time in our nation the common major offense in high school was playing hooky from class, or the chewing of gum, or the throwing of spit wads, and today every sort of devilish practice is found in our public schools–from drugs and alcohol, to fornication and every sort of lewdness, as well as guns and violence are commonly seen in the schools across our land, as well as a growing participation with the investigation and practice of the occult.

coinAmerica, a nation that once loved God, and who still maintains these words printed on its money, “In God We Trust”, now has murdered over 54 million people by means of abortion, boasts a divorce rate of nearly 60% of first time marriages, where approximately 50% of its people do not bother to marry but simple “cohabitate”. Where many of its people pay 50% taxes, where the federal government decade upon decade usurps more and more control over the lives of its citizenry. America is now to the point where from all appearances our government has even committed high treason against its own people by the destruction of New York’s Twin Towers. (If you think that the destruction of the Twin Towers was a foreign terrorist act, then you need to investigate “911truth.org”, and other sites posting irrefutable proof that incriminates our own government) America, where our televisions are filled with lewdness, and violence. The United States of America, where manhood is at an all-time low so that women rule in our homes, in our churches, and in every level of our government. America, where arrogance, lewdness and ill behavior is common place in our youth. Where pornography is a multi-billion-dollar industry. Where 99% of our women dress in a manner that according to Yehovah’s (Yehovah is the eternal name of God) law is an abomination. IE, in that she adorns herself in pants as a man would, instead of fulfilling Yehovah’s law (Deut. 22:5) and dressing in a distinctly different style, than what a man would. America, where fewer and fewer preachers preach against sin, and our prayer halls are by in large empty, or filled with self-serving requests.

Is there a remnant in the midst of this back-slidden populace that loves God and wishes to be true? Yes, I believe there is, and it is to those who from their heart wish to walk with the Great One and be found true to Him. It is to these that I devote this article.

How To Walk With God In A Black-Slidden Generation?

svI believe the secret is simply and purely to be found abiding in the fullness of the Lord Yeshua, who is the God ordained Messiah, and since His kingdom is not originated from this world, then to follow Him will not be according to the wisdom of this world, but will be found in numerous paradoxes. In the recognition and practice of these paradoxes the Christian Believer will find victory and security. It was in the practice of these paradoxes that our nation’s forefathers and mothers brought forth this nation under God. If we wish to fulfill any positive part in keeping America as a “nation under God”, and ourselves as godly men or women, then we must do the same. For a nation can never be any better than the combination of its people, and if its people and families are sick and sinful, than the nation will be sick and sinful.

To be strong, one must first become weak. Only when we learn to come to the end of ourselves and live after that manner can the strength of the Lord be fully found in us. For it is written: …My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. (A portion of 2 Cor. 12:9 KJV)

To be wise, one must first become foolish. Only when we learn that man in his own right possesses no wisdom can we ever hope to gain wisdom. For it is then that we will begin to learn that Yehovah alone holds the answers that work, therefore we must if we would be wise put an end to doing things after the manner self, and of the world. For it is written: For the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him:…For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent….for the foolishness of God is wiser than man; and the weakness of God stronger than men. (Portions of 1 Cor. 1: 19, 25 & 1Cor 2:14 KJV)

To be thought wise, one must first be willing to be thought foolish. Face it, to a man center generation (Although it may cloth itself in numerous religious forms) to surrender one’s self to the careful obedience of the Messiah Yeshua, is thought extreme and foolish, and the only reason one will ever surrender to the Lord is that first he determines that the Lord is wiser then what he is. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe…But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling-block, (The crucified life, or an obedient life, is a stumbling block to many) and unto the Greeks foolishness. (Messiah is foolishness to a man centered mindset)

To be exalted one must first must abase his or herself. The Prophet Isaiah testified that he saw Yehovah high and lifted up and that heavenly creatures surrounded His throne and cried, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of host: the whole earth is full of His glory.” (Isaiah 5:3 KJV) Yehovah is the strengthcreator of all things, both visible and invisible. He is without limitation in intelligence, wisdom, and power. He looks down from Heaven and views the children of men as little tiny living dots upon the earth. Who among men can instruct Yehovah? Can anything that is created instruct the one that created it? Although so commonly filled with pomp and arrogance can the governments of this world rule God? How accurately the prophet spoke and said, “Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, He taketh up the isles as a very little thing.” (Isaiah 40:15 KJV) So, who is it that can obtain an audience with the Lord? Who is it that can get His attention so that the Great One will move on his or her behalf? I’ll tell you who it is. It is that man or woman that cloths him or herself in humility, and it is this one whom Yehovah will in His time raise to fame and position. For it is written: For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, who name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. (Isaiah 57:15 KJV)

To be first one must put himself last, firstly behind the Lord, and then behind others. No, this is not the way of natural man who is ever self-seeking, always looking out for “number one”. But it is the way of the Master who being in His very nature God, humbled Himself and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and then while being found in the form of a man not only followed His father’s will in a life filled with holiness, but also a life filled with service to others. Who, being in Himself the very creator, and thus master of all things, did not hold on to any of these things but entirely emptied Himself, and although spotlessly innocent He was ultimately bruised, betrayed, openly mocked, and hung naked upon a cruel cross for the sins of all men. So this I will say. Whether one likes it or not, or understands it or not, to put one’s self last behind Yehovah and the good of others (According to God’s will) is the way of the Master, therefore that way must be considered good enough if we are to follow Yeshua. For the way of the Master is the way of peace and ultimate victory.

To be greatest one must seek to be the servant. Was not this manner of life illustrated not only by the Lord Yeshua, but by the early apostles? Particularly, I am thinking of the Apostle Paul who after his conversion to the truth never ceased during the course of his life to endeavor to be a blessing to others in that he never stopped working to find others to minister to in Christ’s name. It is obvious that this man did not consider his life more important than the needs of others. Who can count the names of all who by the influence of Yeshua have lived such a life since that time? And because, in his life time Paul was both a servant of the Lord Yeshua and those that were being saved, he has given the lasting honor in being included as a human agent authoring as many as 13 of the books of the Bible, a man whose name and story is known today by multi-millions around the world. He (Paul) now has honor, both among men and in the presence of the Holy One, because he sought the glory of God and the good of others in the name of the Lord.

seekTo gain the greatest treasure one must let go (Or even throw away) all other treasures. Yes, amen to this! It has been said, “He is no fool who surrenders what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.” The believing man and woman must learn this, this is truly one of the Holy Spirit’s many life lessons. One must learn to hold all things with an open hand. Not to grip to tightly, only gripping tightly to the Lord Himself, and to His promises, allowing Him to work out the various details of one’s life in His time and manner, and allowing others in all relationships to be free agents, responsible themselves to surrender to the grace of God. Whether money, or the treasures money can buy, or one’s time, one’s energy, one’s hope’s for the future, or perhaps in regards to relationships. One cannot force love to be returned, one cannot force loyalty, devotion, respect, or obedience. One can only, according to his abilities and understanding do his best, and in so doing hope to evoke a true and lasting response in others, but in the end, every soul of man is a free agent, and in such a state accountable only to God. Brothers and sisters, all things are freely given to us by God for our enjoyment and benefit as we do His will in the earth, however, let us not be owned or controlled by anything. Let each of us be in mastery over the elements of our lives, rather than have the elements of our lives be in mastery over us.

To gain victory one must learn to walk in surrender. Here is yet another paradox. For to gain the very thing you are seeking you must learn to lay it down. This principle in relationships works in child to parent, wife to husband, employee to employer, and most basically it is seen in the Believer’s relationship to the Lord Yeshua. I suggest to you that this principle works in all relationships where one is in submission to another. When the one is submission surrenders himself to the one in authority over his life, particularly if this is done in quietness and without complaint or guile, he will find that the heart of the person in authority begins to open in respect to him, and because of this the one in submission begins to be allowed that which they have desired. It will work this way with child to parent, wife to husband, employee to employer. It will become very hard for one in authority (Even if they have in times past behaved toward those under their umbrella of authority with a hard and unreasonable heart) to continue to do so if the ones under his authority behaves toward him in a submitted manner with a spirit that is quiet and without guile. This Scripture is to a degree descriptive of the reality of how one can gain victory by surrender—by long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone. (Proverbs 25:15 KJV) Now, can this be guaranteed to work 100% of the time in relationships among men? No, it cannot, but it will work a very great portion of the time if the submitted party will by their faith exercise patience. In regards to a Believer dealing with the Lord Yeshua. Yes, it always works, in so much as what the Believer’s desires are according to the will of God. And if it is found that the Believer’s desires are not according to the will of God, then his/her submission to the Lord Yeshua will cause his/her heart to be changed so that the Believer no longer continues to desire that which he/she desired in time past.

To be full one must learn to be always hungry. To the carnal mind this statement sounds like “a lot of religious double talk”. This is so because the wisdom of God is foolishness to those that do not receive the love of the truth. The truths of the Kingdom of God cannot be perceived by those that are not regenerated, and who have not received a love for the truth. This truth is what Yeshua was speaking in reference to when He said to the woman at the well, “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14 KJV) In this verse it is implied that one needs to drink and keep on drinking of the water of life in order to be full, and not have thirst. I have ever found this truth to be so. I have ever found that when I thirst for Him the most, at the very same time I feel the fullest and most satisfied. The things of the world do not affect a soul that way. For if we participate in carnal things we will find that they leave us feeling empty, their satisfaction is very momentary and always leaves the soul of man with an emptiness. So if you would choose to have a life of fullness then you must choose to desire Christ and His righteousness continually.

peaceTo be good, and to feel good about yourself you must first recognize and admit that you are bad. Now, if the other points didn’t sound like a lot of double talk this one sure will. (But again, that is to the un-regenerated) What is meant by this statement? Simply this, that in order to participate in the goodness that Yeshua offers to the children of men one must first recognize that in himself he is vile and dirty. That NO soul of man is pure in its own self. None! It is only in the recognition of this truth that one will cry out to the Lord Yeshua to receive of Him forgiveness, and a place in God’s family. I can guarantee you that the realization of this truth is why I came to the salvation of Yeshua, and why I have since that time, (Which now has been numerous years) continued to every day seek Him. For I realize that in myself there is no good thing. That there is no righteousness in myself by which I can merit eternal life, and a place in the Lord’s presence. That only in Yeshua can I obtain a standing of righteousness. For the truth is that He who was righteous became sin for me, and then died a miserable death on the cross paying for that sin. He did this so that I (And all others who will believe) may share in His righteousness, thereby making all who believe acceptable to God who is holy, and who because of His holiness could not before accept any man because of man’s vileness. (Sin) This my friend is the very best news I have ever heard!

Now having heard (read) these spiritual truths explained, you will be blessed if you do them.
