The author offers an exhortation to the Believing man and woman concerning how that the paradox of surrender to the Lord can, and will allow the victory of God to be seen in that person’s life. That the blessings of security, comfort, peace and joy can only come after a person has by faith given him or herself to the operation of the vehicle of surrender.
Ultimate Surrender to the Way of the Bible Can Bring Peace and Security to Believers, to America
To The Believing, and To Those Who May Learn To Believe:
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, (Yehovah) He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation. (Psalms 91: 1-9)
There is a place of quiet rest near to the heart of God. A place where sin cannot molest, near to the heart of God. O Jesus blessed Redeemer, sent from the heart of God. Hold us who wait before Thee, near to the heart of God. (Lyric from hymn entitled Near To The Heart Of God)
Where is this place of quietness and rest? Where is the place where neither sin or the abusive and loud pressures, afflictions, and persecutions of this present life cannot harm or alarm us? Where is this place? Does such a place exist? I say to you that it does exist. It can be found as we quiet our spirits before God our Savior. The door to such a place is operated by faith via the route of surrender. Faith via surrender, can these open to us the treasures of peace and quiet in the midst of the storms of life?
Yes, the practice of these can quench the nagging-screaming voices of worry, sorrow, rejections, humiliation, and life’s disappointments. Yes, faith via the vehicle of surrender can bring us into the place to realize the Holy Spirit’s power, genius, guidance, and fellowship. It can grant us peace when we face imprisonment, poverty, humiliation, the fear of the unknown, the loss of a friend, the pressures of having to provide, the loss of health and strength, even death itself. It can, faith via surrender can bring us into the secret place of the Almighty which surely can only be accessed through Yeshua. (Yeshua is the Hebrew personality that many English speaking people call Jesus) In this quiet place, can we find His wisdom there? His power there? His guidance there? My answer is yes, we can find sweet release, and protection from the storms of life that commonly batter the souls of men?
Should the Believer work and pray for peace and security in his nation, and in the world? Yes, in fact the Bible pointedly instructs us to pray for the good of our land, and work for the good and security of our people. Yet, until Messiah comes again and bodily reigns as king in the earth there will not be true and lasting peace and security. Yet to the believing man and woman is offered the internal peace and security that truly passes all human ability to understand, let alone explain how it works. It is found in Yeshua, via the route of faith and surrender.
Ah Yeshua, blessed Redeemer, who was sent from the heart of God. You are the door. You alone are the entrance into this tranquility and rest. You are rest. You are tranquility. You are peace. You are wisdom and power and deliverance. You are the only way to God, and the only way to the secret place where one can sit under the shadow of the Almighty, but You cannot be reached without the operation of faith and surrender.
Surrender, that God given empowering weapon that allows the soul that uses it to come out on top. Imagine that, Oh the wisdom of God. How the wise of this world stumble over it. Victory found in surrender! It is like unto the paradoxes of gain found in giving. Exaltation found in humbling one’s self. Life found via the route of death. Yes, the ways of God are a mystery unto the unbelieving, but they are life to those that believe, and in that belief obey. Amen!
Dear One: This quiet place is for you. Go ahead, enter in.
